You might wonder about
the website name…”Todreamagain.org”.
That came about a couple of years ago when I
decided I that needed to know more about Web site stuff. I was helping
another person set up an office that needed something a little more than
just networking capability on one site. I thought the best way to learn was
to get a website myself and attempt to figure it out. Mind you, I am quite
old to be learning new things….you may have heard that “it is hard to teach
an old dog new tricks”. Believe me, that saying is true! In my school
days, “Boys didn’t take typing”, nor had they heard of computer games. And
not many my age, who have learned to type, have cared to graduate from the
typewriter to the computer, much less to the internet and all which that
entails!
Back to my point, as I
had to pick a domain name….”to dream again” was the thought that came to my
mind. There is a little more to that story which I should relate, as
my wife’s first husband had died in an airplane accident about 26 years ago,
and she felt at the time, that was the day in which “her dream died”.
My first wife, Donna,
also died some 9 years
ago, after struggling with Alzheimer's for nearly 12 years. I also knew
personal loss. When Joyce and I each decided to get married again about
8 years ago…..It was like beginning to have a new dream. To “dream again”
became our theme song! And as you know... you have to call a website
something….so, “www.todreamagain.org” it was! “Toflyagain.org” works just as
well, but that is another story.
